The AAW is grateful to the Arrowmont and Campbell schools for their financial support of this initiative, and also to all of the participating chapters for their overwhelmingly positive expressions of support for AAW’s educational mission.

Scholarship award winners were selected through a random drawing of all eligible nominees. To be eligible to apply for a scholarship, candidates must have been AAW members and must have been nominated by a process approved by their AAW chapter. A total of 69 chapters participated, resulting in the nomination of 103 AAW members.

The AAW Board of Directors approved a program to provide woodturning school scholarships to members of the AAW in 2013. The scholarship awards have been made possible with the support and funding from the AAW Endowment Trust Fund, and with matching contributions made by the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts and the John C. Campbell Folk School.

Rewarding and enriching educational experiences lie ahead for each of the winners! Please join me in congratulating the scholarship recipients.

Yours respectfully,

Phil
